EasyInsure.ca was created to be Canada’s first ever full service online insurance brokerage. At the dawn of this new age in the Canadian insurance industry we needed to find a company that was capable of building exactly what was needed for EasyInsure to be successful. As there were no current products available to fit the large technological demands EasyInsure required, nor was their a capable organization that could be outsourced to implement such a venture, our parent company decided to create Rekorb strictly to support the technological needs of EasyInsure. [more...] The name Rekorb was intriguing as it is literally broker spelt backwards, and their technology was turning the industry around. This sister company was formed to utilize the synergy between broker knowledge at EasyInsure and the technological skills of the programming staff at Rekorb. With the opening of EasyInsure.ca in Ontario and Alberta, and as the development progressed, so did other brokers interest in the system. These brokers were starting to understand that this technology is in no way trying to damage the way brokers do business but rather support it and ensure the broker distribution channel survived into the future. Until now, brokers were not privy to the wealth of consumers purchasing insurance online. That market share was being ravaged by the presence of online direct writers. Tech savvy consumers had no choice but to buy direct online even if they historically enjoyed the many advantages of broker services before.

When we first heard about EasyInsure and what they were doing we new this was the future of our industry. We were amazed with just how smart this Quoting, Sales and Service system is. It is literally like a virtual broker. It asks all the questions that are necessary to bind a policy and quote accurately. After running through the demonstration of the entire system we immediately knew the cost savings and sales generating benefits would be significant, if not jaw dropping. [more...] After that initial demonstration we knew this was a necessity to our business but we were worried about how much a system like this would cost us. After price point discussions we were shocked to learn that this quality system was priced to meet any broker’s budget. Rekorb went on to not only provide us with the auto, property, and event liability insurance systems but they graphically designed our entire website and managed our system through their hosting providers. It is clear that Rekorb care’s about brokers and our protection in this industry.
